One of the famous and popular retreat of the people of Sydney is the park at Wisemans Ferry which is bounded by the Hawkesbury River and a golf course on the left side.
Wisemans Ferry is 75 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s central business district.
The river offers fishing, a popular spot for jet skiing and boating. What attracted me in this park is its natural beauty, river, mountains, colourful shades of huge trees that are vibrant during spring and summer.
We’ve been here many times for picnic, fishing, and stop overs after fruit picking in a nearby farm of oranges or mandarins and apples. This is a popular destination of foreign tourists and they come here by the bus loads, to see the place or for a short break from their fruit picking tours. Tourism is the business engine here which I reckon handled well enough by the local council.
